Twenty-One Toontown Years to Celebrate!

Posted by The Toontown Team on June 2, 2024 at 2:00 PM

As our carnival celebration at ToonFest closes, another one commences. Bring out the Organic Birthday Cakes because today we celebrate Toontown's 21st Birthday! I do hope Baker P.J. has some leftover goods from the Pie Toss…

On this very day in 2003, Toons from all over the world officially entered Toontown for the first time to join the fight against the Cogs, and twenty-one years later we’re still here saving Toontown every day! That is truly an achievement to celebrate, and we wouldn’t be here without the passion, dedication, and kindness of YOU, our wonderful community; the true heroes of Toontown.

Today serves as a meaningful reminder that our joy for Toontown all started with Toontown Online, and we never want its memory to fade. Now is the perfect time to check out the Toontown Preservation Project, our virtual museum for preserving the history of Toontown. Did you know the Cannon Game was once called Boom-A-Toon? A treasure trove of exciting history can be found here, and if you have any material you think could contribute to the museum, we’d love to hear from you by emailing support@toontownrewritten.com! We are also ever-grateful to the Toontown Online developers who have continued to show their support over the years – we wouldn’t be here without them!

Toontown grows to be bigger, sillier and perhaps scarier each day; I hear that some new imposing Cogs have infiltrated Toontown recently. For those who want a break from the Cog-fighting, some bouncy beach balls can be found in the Playgrounds brought in by the Toon Council to celebrate this momentous occasion. You can bat them between you and your friends until June 4th at 11:59 PM (Toontown Time)!

Stay TOONed everyone, whilst today we celebrate twenty-one Toontastic years, the future of Toontown promises to be a wild ride full of wacky fun too!

21 Years, that's nearly a quarter of 100. I say, this has been a most exciting quarter then, hasn't it? First it was the the Cog HQs, then came the Field Offices, some days I do miss the old ones from the first writes, I do wish the Cogs didn't Rewrite & Redesign them sometimes, those Boilers really can put a Toon Under Pressure if they're not careful, but still all fun all the same. I may not like Mover and Shakers either, but I still believe they should at least have a banner or framed portrait somewhere in there. Anyhow, then The First Doomsday came, and Toons were scattered all over the place. Perhaps even sent to other timelines, if I do say so myself. Then, once we were organized, we found our way to rebuild what we had lost, every Toon even getting the chance to Rewrite themselves and start a new. Even starting a new election for the new town we live in. Then the REAL Doomsday came, poor Slappy had been taken away, all because of some Positive Reinforcement, a sad day for all ducks in my book... Then, what I'd like to call the Executive Sellbot Field Offices came and took over the HQs, matter of fact they still are, gone was that funny looking office space on the street, now it was a full fledge business, a Cog Scrapper. And now, only a week in, do we begin to see the New Management in the Golf Courses, Mints, Law Offices, and most importantly, The Factories. Now there's word we may be going to the seaside soon... I worry of what could happen there, but rest assured, I am more than happy to be in this town we call Toontown. For all the ups and downs we've been through, like The VP falling from his tower only to be hoisted back up by Hollywoods to continue his promotions, I'm more than happy to be here today. Here's to Toontown! Here's to us, and here's to the Cog Executives for giving us something to use our Foghorns on. Hear, hear!

Y’all should release a water bottle backpack to go along with the whole 21st birthday theme. I know it’s a little late but I think it’d be funny.
