Hey, Toontown! In preparation for creating bigger & better ToonTasks, we've been plunking away at Toontown's backstages, creating the successor to the Quest1 ToonTask system: Quest2! This update is raring to go, but to avoid jumping the gun, Toon Council has permitted another limited-time re-opening of TestTown... That's right, we need YOU to help test Quest2!

As a successor to the current ToonTask system, Quest2 allows us to easily create and implement new ToonTasks and ToonTask types. This makes it extremely valuable for the near and distant future alike! But, holding our horses for a moment, we want to be absolutely sure Quest2 poses no issues when it comes to Toontown. We put our heads together and decided the best way to make sure is to let everyone try it out!

From right now until November 4, all Toons are able to take a trip to TestTown! To ensure nobody loses any work during Quest2 migration, we'd like you to make sure your ToonTasks match up with your current progress in Toontown (as of October 22, 1:00 AM PST). If they do, make some progress and ensure that they're progressing normally. Try and progress your tasks in a variety of ways where possible – if your task is to defeat Cashbots, try street battles, Cog Buildings, a Mint, a CFO, any combination you can think of!

Then, check and see that you can pick up your next ToonTasks – especially if you finish one neighborhood's tasks and are proceeding into the next one. If you only have a few minutes, no problem. Catch some fish, play a Trolley Game, even take on a Factory – if you can complete anything that could progress a ToonTask, that's also a massive help! 

Help us out by testing Quest2 for at least 30 minutes, and you’ll receive early access to a spiffy, tooned-up Anti-Cog Control Hat AND an all-new gold variant! The regular hat will be available later in the Cattlelog for 800 jellybeans, while the gold hat will make a much more significant dent in the ol' Jellybean Bank. This way, you’ll be ahead of Toontown’s latest fashion trend with no cost to you! Consider this cutting-edge sense of aesthetics our way of saying “thank you.”

“Sounds great, but how do I access TestTown?” you ask. Some of you who participated in our Under New Management playtest earlier this year will remember downloading the nifty Test Server launcher. If it sprouted legs and ran away (or you simply never downloaded it), you’re welcome to go ahead and download it. Once you’ve installed it, you’ll be able to log into TestTown! Happy testing!

NOTE: The Toontown Test Server is a separate world in the Tooniverse from the main Toontown Rewritten world. While you will have access to your Toons, any progress or items earned on the Toontown Test Server will not transfer to the live server. Remember, our Terms of Service still apply on the Toontown Test Server!
