Dine With Bridget This Thanksgiving

Posted by Baker Bridget on November 28, 2024 at 2:00 PM

Omnomonom…mmm...omnomonmon…

Oh, hello Toons! This cornbread I’m eating is sooo yummy, which I baked especially for today’s celebration of Thanksgiving. You should try it dipped in cranberry sauce, it’s a delicious combination! Simply a match made in heaven. Alright, I am being a little corny…

Lucky for you, the banquet’s about to begin! I’ve gone all out with the celebrations (no loafing around!) preparing a bountiful Thanksgiving Dinner for all of my friends, including you!

Baker Bridget with a pie and a picnic in Acorn Acres

Feast your eyes upon this table of classic Thanksgiving foods! Pile up your plates with scrumptious sides, we’ve got mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes, and my personal favourite, the cornbread. Professor Ivy was a massive help with this! The spuds are fresh from her garden, grown with tender care and hard work. She’s no couch potato! They need a mysterious secret jellybean combination to grow I believe.

Next, we come to the centerpiece of the meal – the marvellous mushroom wellington! The light and airy puff pastry was made by me. To make the perfect pastry I like to chill mine in the Brrrgh, who needs a fridge when you have the arctic right on your doorstep! Caesar, from the Salad Bar and my kitchen companion, provided the tasty vegetable filling. We had a blast baking together – he’s a real fungi, I mean, fun guy! To end the dinner on a sweet note, take a slice of my warming pumpkin pie – full of spice and all things nice! The proof of my baking talent really is in the pudding. With just one mouthful, you’ll see why they call me the best baker in town.

With all that fantastic food to eat it’s easy to be stunned by the scrumptious spread but we mustn’t forget the most important part of Thanksgiving, that is being thankful for all the treats this past year has given us. It’s the perfect time to think about how we each have personally grown and together as a community. So raise your glasses Toons as I say “Cheers” to each and every one of you and thank you for the joy you bring to Toontown!

WOOOOAH, you guys pulled out all the stops with this one! I absolutely agree that the community is what makes Toontown thrive! I really enjoyed tuning in and reading your heartwarming Thanksgiving series of posts. I especially appreciate THIS time around, with not the usual popcorn, jellybeans, and toast, but a traditional and delectable meal, cooked with love for all the people who support this truly Legendary game. I can't wait until you guys see my latest script with Hammock Harry. I'm almost done tuning it, but I think you'll really love his personality! Thank YOU, TTR team, and I hope everyone had a Toontastic Thanksgiving! Wherever this adventure takes us next, we have only one thing to do. Toons of the World, UNITE!

If there's one thing I'm thankful for today, it's this great ol' game and all the great people involved. Lowden Clear and the Resistance crashing and bashing those Cogs, Doctor Surlee and the Scientoons making great innovations, Flippy keeping everything silly and just being an all-around pal... And of course, all the staff and troopers for developing all the bells, whistles, and foghorns! Hope everybody has a happy Thanksgiving today! God bless y'all! (Now I'm gonna dive right into those potatoes and pumpkin pie!!!)
