The Tenth Anniversary of the Toon Council Elections

Wow. It’s really been that long. Let's get these pictures dusted off...

We’ll find you someday, wherever you are, my friend. That’s a promise from me, Flippy Doggenbottom, your still-acting President of the Toon Council. After the fateful Toon Council Presidential Elections, Toontown was forever changed... And although this is a day dedicated to the would-be, should-be President, Slappy Quackintosh, I always like to focus less on the sad and bad and more on the glad.
The truth is that today, I feel a great sense of pride for each and every Toon (including YOU!) that’s come on down to Toontown to have some fun – and maybe even lend us a hand in fighting back those evil Cogs! It’s thanks to those efforts that we’ve been able to keep all that boring business out of our Playgrounds. This town wouldn’t be safe without all of you! From Doctor Surlee – leader of the Loony Labs Scientoons who gave it all just to give us a chance – to Lord Lowden Clear – my right-hand Toon who wages our fearless Toon Resistance against the Cogs time and time again, there are so many great Toons I couldn’t do it without.
It’s thanks to our trusty Laff Meters that so few Toons have been taken by the Cogs since Doomsday. When you’re sapped of all silliness, Doctor Surlee’s Emergency Shrinkaporter is there to whisk you back to the Playground in an instant! That being said, Slappy, Team Let’s Hunt Around and Find Bossbot Headquarters (who we assume were horribly head-hunted upon discovering Bossbot Headquarters), and a handful of other Toons are still unaccounted for all these years later. Despite the Resistance’s best efforts, we’ve had no choice but to shelve the search and rescue efforts of Operation: Duck Hunt because, simply put, not a Toon in town has an inkling where they are. Not even Doctor Surlee. Not even Samantha Spade! Not even Hysterical Harry!
All I know is that they’re some of the strongest Toons I’ve ever met. Wherever they are, they’re holding on and fighting back – just like us! When the time comes, be it near or far, we’ll beat those Cogs for good and get our friends back. One day.
Say – thanks for taking the time to reminisce a bit with your ol’ pal Flippy! I’ve worked my hardest for the Toon Council every day since the election. There are many more good years to come!

Wow, it really doesn't seem like 10 whole years have gone by... Cheers to all the toons I've met along the way, and a massive thank you to everyone who has made this possible. I love Toontown with my whole heart. Toons of the world, unite!!

Man, that is wild that it has been so long since the toon elections. Has it really been 10 years since the election? Thank you for keeping Toontown Rewritten running all of this time and for giving us toons a place to stay! Toontown Rewritten has given all of us the chance to prove that we ARE toon enough!
Maybe someday we will find Slappy, somewhere.
I remember April 19th being a significant day for some reason, but I couldn't remember why until just now! Has it really been a decade since the day Slappy was taken from us and boring bots descended upon our fun times? To think we've been fighting the Cogs for ten years straight and are still holding the line in the fight for our town. To every other toon like myself who has fought and laughed with me for all these years, my only hope is that we still have many more years to come. Thank you, Toontown Rewritten. :)

9 years since slappy was captured by the cogs been waiting for us i promise i will help out to save slappy as for me im brave enough but for all of us one day we will find slappy and this will be our chance for toontown rewritten to prove that were toon enough
Wow, it really has been 10 years. Seems like just yesterday my brain was teeming with theories about Team LHAAFBBHQ. . . ah, the memories. I'm glad we haven't forgotten these brave Toons, and I hope that someday soon (TM) we'll be able to find them and bring them back home. :)

It's been a really long time since the war between Toons n' Cogs started, hasn't it? Golly, ten years really flies by that fast... We've been fighting back those metal heads for a decade, and yet, we keep on growing stronger and sillier everyday! We'll keep on standing our ground, no matter what... When I first entered Toontown, I vowed to myself that I'll help protect Toontown from danger. And ever since then, Me and my pals will continue fightin', helpin', and laughin'! Wherever Slappy is, we WILL find him, and we WILL save him. I know we will...
I can't believe it's been ten whole years... I barely remember who I was ten years ago, but I remember that election like it was yesterday. Come to think of it, I haven't dropped into Toontown at all this year so far... I should fix that soon. ^^

Gosh. Hard to believe it's been 10 years now since the elections, since those business bots first invaded our town, and since we lost our dear duck friend Slappy. (Man, I feel old. And I wasn't even around during the elections.) I hope he's doing all right, wherever he is. And I do hope he comes back someday. It'll be so great to see him again after all these years! I wonder what it would feel like for Slappy, being back in this great toony town of ours, and seeing just how much has changed since he was gone. ("Where'd all these crocodiles and deer come from?" "Ahhh, this is such a nice bench..." "WHOA! Look at that magnificent parade goin' down the street! And that snazzy bunny driving in front! I wish I had a bowtie like that..." "YIPES!!! Toon HQ's been replaced by a big ol' scary field office!!!" "Did Fluffy just TALK??" "Is that a cupcake house? It's makin' me hungry..." "Gosh, Rolling Crocodile, that's such a cool shark fin you got there! It's so cool and shiny and...." what was I talking about again?) Anyways, I hope our good friend returns soon and can take up his well-deserved role as mayor and help to run Toontown in his own special, wacky way! In the meantime, I'll keep on flipping for Flippy, he's doing such a great job and he's a great toon! Hang in there, Flippy. We'll find Slappy even if it means we have to fight the Chairman. We'll find him. Someday.
Well, as a Duck myself, I find it quite sad that we still haven't been able to find Slappy. 10 years. I've been here for 10 years myself, now granted, I was asleep in bed due to a case of Doodle Pox when Doomsday came around, but that was nearly a decade ago. Think about that, 10 years, why that's only 10 percent of of 100. and 16 percent of 60. My, my, have we come a long way since then. Why, I remember when the CEO use to send out nothing but 2.0s over in the Banquet Halls, I remember when the VP didn't play his promotion music when you entered his arena atop the Sellbot Tower. Now the biggest fear we have are these Field Offices. I do hope none come to the Docks, or Toontown Central in that sense. Could you imagine? A Bossbot Executive Office, right down Silly Street. Now that would be most frightening. Well, either way. I do hope we find Slappy soon. As much as I do enjoy meeting and fighting the Sellbots, I do think it's time we ventured out to find these lost Toons. With that, here's to two decades of Toontown, and one decade to being Rewritten. Hear, hear.
One of these days, hopefully soon, we'll finally rescue Slappy and Team LHAAFBBHQ. That's been my mission ever since I got into Rewritten, and although we've made great strides against the Cogs, I will not rest before infiltrating the prisons of our dear fellow Toons, taking those places down, and rescuing the poor lot of them from their cruel, and sad fates. Thank you for never forgetting, President Flippy! Don't give up, Slappy and Team LHAAFBBQ, we're coming for you!
