ToonFest Orlando: Our Next Trick, A Very Special Guest!
Posted by The Toontown Team on July 11, 2025 at 12:00 PM
All aboard the Hype Trolley! With less than a month until ToonFest Orlando, we're ready to reveal our Toontastic featured guest who's coming along for the ride. After scouring the Tooniverse for the Top Toons of all time, we're thrilled to announce that we’ve lured a real legend: Give a large, Laff-worthy welcome for his ToonFest debut: Disney's Toontown Online programmer, Ron Weaver!
This may be the first time you've heard of Ron's name, but you certainly know his work! Ron was a programmer on Disney's Toontown Online who helped create the dastardly Cog attacks we know and love to bust. When he’s not running amok around Toontown with his family, Ron helps plant the seeds of creativity as a professor at the Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy, helping the next generation of game developers grow their skills.
Although he once helped create Cog attacks, don't fret – we can promise he's one of the most "Toon Enough" people you'll ever meet. If you don't believe us, just check out this video!
Mark the calendar in your Shticker Book, because you won't want to miss a single second of the fun that we'll be having with Ron as he teleports over to ToonFest to join the event in-person!
- Saturday, August 9
- To kick off his time at ToonFest, Ron is giving a talk titled "The Three Most Memorable and Dastardly Cogs." It's a can't-miss chance to learn the hilarious history behind the bots we love to battle!
- After the talk, he'll answer your burning questions about the development of Toontown Online and beyond!
- Stop by the Toontown Booth in the afternoon to meet Ron face-to-face at his meet-and-greet! Take a photo, grab an autograph, or share some silliness with this loony legend.
- To end the day, Ron is joining us as a special guest judge of The TOONY Awards costume contest!

- Finally, be a part of Toon history as Ron becomes the very first Toontown Online developer to bravely face The Great Toontown Pie Toss! Here's your chance to give him a taste of his own medicine after making you face all of those years of Power Trips.
We hope you're as excited as we are to meet Ron at ToonFest! If you can't make it, don't sweat it! We'll be sharing all sorts of fun throughout the event on social media, and Ron's talk will be recorded and uploaded to our YouTube channel a few weeks after the event.

If only I could go... Then I could pie him in the face for making all those cog attacks!
I wonder if Ron Weaver knows who voiced the cogs? I've been wondering for years who is responsible for all of the "Buh bwah blahs". I'm not sure if I can make it to the event in person though, but I look forward to seeing the upload on YouTube!
