A Tale Of Two Holidays

Season’s greetings, Toons! You caught me on a tight schedule, but I suppose the most famous reindeer of all has time for an autograph or ten.
First of all, thanks everyone for helping with the gifts again this year! This is always such a busy time of year, but I know I can always count on the selfless spirit of Toontown to give when the giving is needed the most.
Second of all, Merry Christmas! I hope all of you who celebrate are nestled all cozily and warm-like under the Christmas Tree with your loved ones and some Christmas treats. I’d usually be home doing the same right now… but not this year.
See, Christmas usually means SantaToon is just about to sweep me up in his sleigh for a well-deserved first-class ticket back to the North Pole. But wouldn’t you know it, he forgot about me. Me! Holly Daze! He said he’d guide his sleigh back to get me, so I headed on over to Dreamland to meet him in the middle.
Then, I noticed a particularly warm and sugary smell coming from Baker’s Dozin’ Doughnuts. I popped in and not only got some sweet treats, but a new friend too!
I’m glad you enjoyed the sufganiyot, Holly! Hi there, Toons, and Happy Hanukkah! What a wonderful coincidence that our celebrations begin on the same day this year.
That’s right, this is the first of eight nights of this year’s “Festival of Lights.” A time of togetherness, makin’ sure those we love in our lives know it! One of my favorite ways to do that is to bake some sweets! Err, more than usual that is. Hanukkah’s all about bringing folks together, so when a famished homesick deer popped in, how could I say no to that face?
I’ve been showin’ her how to play Dreidel – boy, what a laugh that’s been. The hours have been flying right on by. If you’d like a Dizzy Dreidel of your own, Clarabelle’s got plenty in stock this time of year!
Whatever you celebrate, have a happy holiday this Winter! Remember to stay warm, keep your sweets close and the sweet people in your life closer, and bring love and good cheer however you’re able.
Have a wonderful Winter!
