What are Cast Members?

Cast Members are special Toons who live inside Toontown and play unique roles in maintaining, protecting, and celebrating the game world. There are three types: Toon Troopers, Resistance Rangers, and Featured Toons.

Are Team Members or Partners considered Cast Members?

No, Team Members and Partners are not Cast Members. They are regular players who either work as a volunteer for Toontown Rewritten (Team Members) or are an official member of the Toontown Partner Program (Partners). But they’re just as Toony!

What is a Team Member?

They’re regular ol’ players like you who progress through the game normally. However, they also happen to work for Toontown Rewritten! They can easily be identified by their “TEAM MEMBER” Toon ID and the blue icon above their Toon’s nametag. They’re happy to answer questions, tell you about their job, or discuss Toontown on a more personal level. They’re also very friendly, so feel free to approach them when you see them!

How can I become a Team Member?

If you have what it takes, check out our Applications page to learn about how you can join the Toontown Rewritten Team to help keep the game going.

What is a Partner?

They’re official members of the Toontown Partner Program. They may be content creators who livestream, make videos, or custom content packs, or representatives of Partnered Communities who oversee forums, host events, and overall bring the Toontown community together. You can identify a Partner by their “CONTENT CREATOR” or “COMMUNITY PARTNER” Toon ID and the globe badge with pink and yellow Toons above their nametag. Feel free to say ‘hi’ and ask questions about their communities or content!

How can I become a Partner?

Applications to the Toontown Partner Program are currently closed. While we don’t know when exactly they will open up again, you can go to the Partner Program page to learn more about our requirements in the meantime.

What’s a Toon Trooper?

Toon Troopers are unique Toons who live inside the world of Toontown! They wear a yellow badge above their nametag and have a Toon ID that reads “CAST MEMBER.” The Toon Troop’s job is to upkeep, build, and beautify Toontown. They complete tasks such as upkeeping the golf courses and race tracks, cleaning Cog gears off the streets, and decorating Toontown for special occasions.

On the side, Toon Troopers enjoy activities such as hanging around the playgrounds, playing golf, kart racing, and attending parties! If you ever meet a Trooper, don’t be shy about asking them to play a game called Toon Trooper Tag, which can only be started by Toon Troopers and Featured Toons. They love playing silly games!

What’s a Resistance Ranger?

Resistance Rangers are unique Toons who live inside the world of Toontown. They wear a green badge above their nametag and have a Toon ID that reads “CAST MEMBER.” As esteemed members of the Toon Resistance hand-picked by Lord Lowden Clear himself, their job is to fight the Cogs and protect Toontown.

Rangers most often come out during Mega-Invasions and other special events, but can also be seen on regular days. They’re always willing to help out a fellow Toon, so you can definitely invite them to join you in a Cog battle if you see one! If you’re lucky, you might even earn a Cog Crusher outfit by defeating Cogs with them!

When and where can I meet a Cast Member?

Although there are certainly times when Cast Members may be out and about more frequently than usual—such as after an update, during Cartoonival, or during a Mega-Invasion—they’re also fond of surprise visits. You never know when a Cast Member is right around the corner, so keep a lookout and stay Toony!

I want to play a Cast Member! How can I apply?

While we don’t have a special role on the Team specifically for playing Cast Members, Community Ambassadors are tasked with playing in-game as a Cast Member and a Team Member, among other forms of Community Engagement! Check out our Applications page to learn more about the responsibilities and requirements.
